This Old Truck - 1964 Dodge D100 Truck

Back on Track

I did fix the leaking freeze plug, but I didn't tear the engine down. Had a pretty hefty break in the action because I just didn't have the money to get some badly needed tools. Spent the last few months of 2000 gathering funds to buy some tools.

Well, I got the tools and I have started cutting away the old rusted metal parts. It it going to be a big challenge, but I don't need the truck right away and funds just won't allow me to go too far with getting pristine replacement parts. I was able to score a couple of decent fenders to replace my VERY POOR ones. Ken Cullinan had some left over from his project and they were just the ticket for me. Ken's truck is looking good.

The new compressor.

The new MIG welder.

I removed the glass.

This piece is part of the door support/inner fender structure.

Cut it out and put some rust remover in.

Cut out some more rust.

It was all bad.

The fenders I got from Ken.
