Still Tearing Down
I'm still cutting. I pulled the dashboard out and it changed my entire perspective. I decided to stop trying to put in patches and just cut it all out and put and entirely new floorpan in. I did find some good news. The rear cab mounts are in excellent shape and the back of the cab really looks good (compared to the rest).
With the kids in sports, it has been tough getting time to work on it, but summer is here, my neighbor gave me some steel to make new cab mounts for the front from, and I have 2 4x8 sheets of 18 ga. sheet metal just waiting for me to fit and weld.
